Description
The rugs in the Plain Collection are woven in four compositions; the 9/9 Cord Wool and Silk and 9/9 Cord Wool boast the finest weave, broken down with an irregular pile to produce a subtle striated effect. The silk highlights in the former create an interplay of light and shadow that, in traditional Persian and Turkish rug-weaving, would be referred to as an ‘abrash’ – a delicate variation in tone across the field, lending the rug a sense of depth and complexity. The thicker knot in the 7/7 Cord Wool gives a bolder feel to its colours, and the thick pile of the Tibetan Handknotted Wool makes it an ideal choice for more intimate, homelier spaces like a bedroom or living room.
Available on request in Tibetan Handknotted, Wool and Cord Wool.
